Mark Smith high-side hustles to 2020 USCS win #13 at Talladega Short Track on Sunday

Eastaboga, AL - September 6, 2020 - Mark Smith took to the high side of the race track to win his 2nd USCS Outlaw Thunder Main event of the weekend and 13th of the season at Talladega Short Track on Sunday night.
Rookie Hayden Martin who started sixth, finished in the runner-up spot, followed by two-time USCS Champion Jordon Mallett in 3rd place.

Smith's teammate, 6-time 2020 Feature winner Dale Howard finished 4th. Two-time USCS National Champion Morgan Turpen rounded out the top five.

12-time USCS Champion and points leader, Terry Gray lead the balance of the field with Ohio veteran racer Hud Horton in seventh followed by USCS Rookie points leader, Conner Leoffler in eight followed by another Ohio traveler, Phil Gressman in ninth place and Kyle Amerson rounded out the top ten.

Dale Howard wonntge 6-lap USCS Hoosier Speed Dash. Heat race winners were, Kobe Allison, Lee Moore and Hud Horton. Conner Leoffler advance the most positions in the A-Main (9) to garner the Wilwood Disc Brakes Hard Charger Award.

The next USCS Outlaw Thunder Tour event is at Lavonia Speedway in Lavonia, Georgia ( www.lavoniaspeedway.net )on this coming Friday, September 11th. On the following night, Saturday, September 12th the USCS drivers and teams make there only 2020 stop of 2020 at Cherokee Speedway in Gaffney, South Carolna (www.CherokeeSpeedwaySC.com.
