FAYETTEVILLE, GA - The O'Reilly United Sprint Car Series returns to Mid-South action this weekend when the Outlaw Thunder National Tour visits North Alabama Speedway in Tuscumbia, AL this Friday night, and Garnertown Speedway in Luray, TN this Saturday night. The two events will award both National and Mid-South Thunder Tour points.
The current O'Reilly USCS National points leader Kenny Adams of Malabar, FL heads the entry list. Adams, the 2000 O'Reilly USCS National Champion, has ten wins this season, including the last series event at Sumter Speedway in Sumter, SC last Saturday night. Along with the ten victories, Adams has 29 top five finishes, and 31 top ten finishes in 34 starts.
Other top O'Reilly USCS National point drivers entered include Danny Martin Jr. of Sarasota, FL, defending and four-time O'Reilly USCS National Champion Terry Gray of Bartlett, TN, Robison Racing Products Rookie of the Year point leader Bryn Gohn of Malabar, FL, and the 2004 O'Reilly USCS Rookie of the Year R.J. Johnson of Decatur, TN.
They'll be taking on the O'Reilly USCS Mid-South Tour regional regulars led by Ricky Stenhouse Jr. of Olive Branch, MS. The 17-year-old driver is the O'Reilly USCS Mid-South Tour point leader with three wins this season.
Joining Stenhouse will be three-time 2005 O'Reilly USCS Mid-South Tour winner Mike Ward of Memphis, TN, along with the 1999 O'Reilly USCS National Champion Marshall Skinner of West Memphis, AR, and Ernie Ainsworth of Bartlett, TN, who both have one O'Reilly USCS Mid-South win this season.
