FAYETTEVILLE, GA - Kenny Adams of Malabar, FL leads the O'Reilly United Sprint Car Series Air Flow Research Power Dash point standings after the first 34 events of the 2005 season. Adams has won 15 six-lap Air Flow Research Power Dashes that are held at each O'Reilly USCS event.
The top six finishers present from the previous series event are eligible to compete for points in the Air Flow Research Power Dash. The winner receives ten points, with a one point spread back to the sixth-place finisher that receives five points.
The top ten drivers in the Air Flow Research Power Dash points are eligible to compete in the ten-lap $5,000-to-win Air Flow Research Super Dash at Volusia Speedway Park on October 22.
Adams, the current O'Reilly USCS National point leader, has 262 points. Adams is still looking for a win in the Air Flow Research Super Dash after five tries. Three-time Air Flow Research Super Dash winner Terry Gray of Bartlett, TN is second in the AFR Power Dash points with 204. Gray has won six Air Flow Research Power Dashes this season.
Danny Martin Jr. of Sarasota, FL is in the third spot with 175 points, followed by the Robison Racing Products Rookie of the Year point leader Bryn Gohn of Malabar, FL with 112 points. Martin and Gohn each have one AFR Power Dash win this season.
Matt Tiffany of Daytona Beach, FL is fifth in the AFR Power Dash points with 108. The 16-year-old Robison Racing Products Rookie of the year candidate has put together four Air Flow Research Power Dash wins in recent weeks, and is earning the nickname, "Mr. Dash."
Johnny Bridges of Cherryville, NC is in the sixth spot with 58 points, and one AFR Power Dash win. Bridges is followed by Ricky Stenhouse Jr. of Olive Branch, MS with 49 points, Ryan Myers of Eldorado, OH with 48 points, R.J. Johnson of Decatur, TN with 45 points, and Wayne Reutimann Jr. of Zephyrhills, FL rounds out the top ten with 41 points and one AFR Power Dash win.
Mike Ward of Memphis, TN is just one point out of the top ten, and Hunter Schuerenberg of Sikeston, MO is 12th with 33 points.
