O'Reilly USCS makes first visit to Memphis (Motorsports Park) September 23rd

Atlanta, GA - The O'Reilly United Sprint Car Series will make it's first ever stop at Memphis Motorsports Park on Friday night September 23rd. The event will be a combined O'Reilly USCS Mid-South Thunder Tour and O'Reilly USCS Outlaw Thunder Tour National event. Championship points will be awarded in both series. A field of drivers from at least 10 Southeastern and Midwestern states is expected for the event.
Pre-entries include 2001 thru 2004 O'Reilly USCS National Champion, Terry Gray from nearby Bartlett, Tennessee plus current National points leader and two time 2005 Mid-South Thunder feature winner, Kenny Adams from Malabar, Florida who holds a slight nine point leader over seventeen year old Olive Branch, Mississippi young gun Ricky Stenhouse, Jr. in the O'Reilly USCS Mid-South standings. Memphis veteran Mike Ward who has three Mid-South Thunder Tour wins is third followed by nineteen year old young gun Danny Martin, Jr. from Sarasota, Florida in fourth. Martin is seconfd in the O'Reilly USCS national points. The 1999 USCS National Dirt Champ, Marshall Skinner from West Memphis, Arkansas with one 2005 Mid-South Thunder feature win rounds out the top five in the Mid-South Thunder regional standings.
