O'Reilly USCS and Magnolia Motor Speedway agree to cancel Sept. 17th event

Atlanta, GA - Due to the residual economic and emotional impact of the recovery and relief efforts of Hurricane Katrina, the O'Reilly Auto Parts United Sprint Car Series www.uscsracing.com and Magnolia Motor Speedway have agreed to cancel the Saturday, September 17th O'Reilly USCS Outlaw Thunder Tour and O'Reilly USCS Mid-South Thunder tour event at the speedway. O'Reilly USCS Founder and President, Pete Walton said " After talking with Magnolia Motor Speedway management and discussing the fact that people in the area are still recovering from the storm and many are actively working in the relief efforts, we both agreed that timing for the special event may not be good.
We regret any inconvience this may cause anyone, but, when most other sprint car series schedules are winding down, the O'Reilly USCS is kicking off a Fall schedule of 16 events that has races every weekend from Friday September 23rd thru Saturday November 19th concluded Walton.
The next O'Reilly USCS event, the "O'Reilly USCS Mid South Fall Nationals" will take place at Memphis Motorsports Park on Friday night September 23rd. This will be the series first ever visit to the 1/4 mile dirt oval located at the Motorsports complex just of Fite Rd. between Memphis and Millington.. The following night ( Sat., Sept. 24th ) the O'Reilly USCS touring drivers move East of Memphis to Thunder Ridge Speedway www.thunderridgespeedway.com for the Tennessee State Championship. Thunder Ridge is a 3/8 high banked mile clay oval near Lexington, Tennessee for the O'Reilly USCS Tennessee State Championship race.
