Stenhouse captures O'Reilly USCS 10th Anniversary season finale at Columbus Speedway
Columbus, MS - Ricky Stenhouse, Jr. from Olive Branch, Mississippi raced from his pole position starting position into the lead in turn one and never looked back to capture the win in the 40-lap O'Reilly United Sprint Car Series Battle at the Bullring season finale at Columbus Speedway.
Stenhouse, who turned second-quick time and then won his heat race on Friday night, was awarded the pole in the A-Main after drawing a zero in the K&N Filters Pole Award inversion draw. Stenhouse captured his fourth O'Reilly USCS feature of the year in the race titled the 1st Annual Battle at the Bullring at the track known as the "Baddest Bullring in the South".
Jason Sides from Bartlett, Tennessee who was reeling-in Stenhouse in the later laps got a last chance after a lap 38 caution but a half dozen lapped cars separated them and Stenhouse raced home to victory lane. Sides finished in the runner-up spot followed by five-time O'Reilly USCS National Champion, Terry Gray who earlier in the evening won the lucrative $5000 to win Lucas Oil Super Power Dash 10 car, 10 lap Shootout.
