USCS Open Wheel Modified "TENNESSEE TANGLE" at Garnertown Speedway Friday And Clayhill Motorsports on Saturday

Atlanta, GA - The USCS Open Wheel Modified series will contest Round One of the 1st annual "Tennessee Tangle" open wheel modified shootout this Friday night (May 5th) at Garnertown Speedway in Luray, Tennessee. On Saturday night (May 6th) Round Two of the double-header is scheduled for action at Clayhill Motorsports in Atwood, Tennessee. The United Speed Contest Sanction sanctions the two-night event. The two-track challenge event is expected to attract top driver entries from five states. The two tracks are within a 45-minute drive of each other and this makes it inviting for teams traveling in for the event. Each night's feature will pay $1200 to win and offers a weekend point fund that will pay the top five drivers in points combined from Friday and Saturday night a $100 bonus each.
Accompanying the USCS Open Wheel Modified series at Garnertown Speedway will be a pair of death-defying Hollywood style stunts performed by the Tricky Travelstead "Extreme Stunt Spectacular". Those include the fiery "Human Bomb" and the dangerous "Flaming Tower of Dome". Also on tap at Garnertown are double 20 lap feature races for the popular Hummer Cup Cars paying $250 to win each, with a $100 bonus to win both posted.. A 20-lap feature for the Street Stock division paying $300 to win is scheduled as well.
In addition to the USCS Open Wheel Modified series Round Two of the Tennessee Tangle Clayhill Motorsports
will feature a full program of racing in all the regular Clayhill Motorsports classes in what will be their season opening event. The track has had major renovating including moving the pit area from the infield to outside the track for better spectator visibility.
The format for the USCS Modified series starts each night with the exciting six-lap USCS Open Wheel Modified Dash event opening the racing action with a six-car, six-lap showdown comprised of the top six cars from the previous USCS Modified event. The Dash race pays $100 to win each night. The modified racing card will also include qualifying heat races, a 12 lap B main and 30 lap A-Main event paying $1200 to win. Additionally a passing bonus of $100 will be paid to any driver that can win the main event from a second row start either night. If a driver starts from row three or farther back it will pay a $200 passing bonus.
The top prize and other bonuses that have been posted will make it possible for one driver to take home $3200 for their weekends efforts in the USCS Open Wheel Modified division.
The USCS Open Wheel Modified payout is as follows each night:
$1200, 600, 400, 300, 200, 180, 160, 140, 120, 100,
90, 80, 70, 60 and $50 thru last place.
Plus:
$100 to win USCS Open Wheel Modified Dash each night
$100 extra to win feature from row two posted both nights.
$200 extra to win feature from row three or father back
posted both nights.
$100 Bonus to win both the Friday and Saturday night
Main events.
$100 to top five cars in two night combined points.
There is a $25 entry fee each night.
