"The Lawman", Marshall Skinner joins the 10th Anniversary O'Reilly USCS "Outlaw Thunder" title chase.

January 25, 2006
Fayetteville, GA -
The "Lawman", 1999 O'Reilly USCS Dirt National Champion, Marshall Skinner from West Memphis, Arkansas will join the chase for the coveted title of the 10th Anniversary O'Reilly USCS Outlaw Thunder Tour National Dirt Series. Skinner has plans to capture his second O'Reilly USCS National Dirt Series Championship and will kick off his title pursuit on Monday night February 6th at Volusia Speedway Park in his Parts Plus sponsored #26 Dyno Tech powered J & J Auto Racing sprint car. Skinner who finished fifth in the tough 2005 O'Reilly USCS Mid-South Thunder regional series with one win feature win, had six top five and ten top ten finishes. He was sixteenth in the final O'Reilly USCS National point standings.

Skinner has raced full or nearly full schedules in six of the nine years the series has contested championships and brought home the Dirt National title in 1999, the year the series had both a separate Dirt and Asphalt National Championship. Skinner has eight career O'Reilly USCS feature wins among his many podium finishes in the series. He has also won three track championships at his hometrack Riverside Speedway in West Memphis, Arkansas, a track the O'Reilly USCS will visit on Saturday May 27, 2006 during their 7 race "Speedweek 2006".

O'Reilly USCS Founder and President," Marshall went home for a couple of years to be a new Dad. But now our schedule favors his work schedule and with a new O'Reilly USCS Outlaw Thunder Dirt National title we are bringing back, he is just ready to come back out and chase our title on dirt. He's a great competitor but a greater person.

Most of the other drivers really love Marshall because he is one of those "Good Samaritans" in life that will stop and help you everytime when maybe he needs to be busy on his own problems more. He's a very clean racer, but tough on the race track every night. On the track, he's ready to lay down the law. He was nick-named the Lawman by former O'Reilly USCS announcer, Roby Helm and it sort of fits, tall clean-cut and honest. It's sure great to have him back on tour." Walton concluded. Skinner said, "We are really fortunate to have the people behind us that we have now and to be able to get back into position to compete for a National title in the O'Reilly USCS.

The series has really grown both in exposure and in the level of competition since we ran the full schedule before. I know we have a great shot at bringing home the title but it won't be easy. There are some great racers and teams in the series. We want to thank all of our sponsors. Our primary sponsor is Parts Plus and we really appreciate them, but we couldn't chase my hopes of a second title without associate sponsorship from Grant New Homes, Conrad Sand & Gravel, Mike "Breeze" Armstrong, A&B equipment, CnB Mushrooms, Valvoline, Wix Filters, FSR (Radiators), Leaf Racewear, Bell Helmets, Xtreme Graphics.
