Sides did it the hard way by starting ninth in the field and led the final four laps in a race that saw four different leaders. This was Sides' second O'Reilly USCS feature win of the 2006 season. He won the O'Reilly USCS season opener at Volusia Speedway Park on February 6th. It is his fifth career O'Reilly USCS victory lane trip.

Pole starting Jason Evans from Sikeston, Missouri lead laps one through five before O'Reilly USCS Speedweek 2006 Champion Mike Ward from Memphis, Tennessee took over to lead for the next ten laps. Hull controlled the point until Sides found the bottom of the race track to be the fast way around and passed Hull on the low side in turn three of lap twenty-two and raced home to victory lane in the 25 lap event.
Hull raced Sides hard to the finish line but finished in the runner-up spot. Ward who lead laps six through fifteen finished in third place followed by current O'Reilly USCS National championship points leader, Terry Gray from Bartlett, Tennessee in fourth place. 1999 O'Reilly USCS Champion, Marshall Skinner from West Memphis, Arkansas rounded out the top five.
