Gray collects O'Reilly USCS twin Dodge "Night of Thunder" features at Lanier
Braselton, GA - Current O'Reilly USCS National points leader, Terry Gray from Bartlett, Tennessee collected both halves of the O'Reilly USCS double feature events on Saturday night at Lanier National Speedway. These were feature win numbers five and six on the season for the four time O'Reilly USCS National Champion.

The first 20-lap feature race was started straight up after starting positions were decided via time trials and a 10 lap last chance race. Gray started outside of the front row in the first feature race next to the evening's fastest qualifier T.J. Winegardner. Gray raced into the lead in turn one and never looked back even though two cautions on lap two and lap six bunched the field behind him. The lap six caution was for TJ Winegardner who broke a set of spur gears in his rear axle and went to the pits while running in second place behind Gray. Danny Martin, Jr. from Sarasota, Florida then took up the chase behind Gray and finished in the runner-up spot followed by Ryan Myers from Eaton, Ohio. Doug Day from Winder, Georgia who won the 10-lap Butlerbuilt Last Chance Race was fourth and Ohio traveler Doug Berryman from Mansfield, Ohio completed the top five in feature race number one.
In the second main event the first ten cars from the first feature race were inverted. On the original start a first turn crash occurred and the accident ended the night for Danny Martin, Jr. and David Thorman from Greenville, South Carolina. Ryan Myers was involved in the wreck but was able to continue from the rear of the field. Gray streaked past seven other cars on lap one to grab the lead in the second feature race.
On lap three T.J. Winegardner who started in row six raced around Gray and into the lead until lap ten when Gray regained control of the point. On the final lap Ryan Myers rallied from a last place start after the lap one incident that sent him to the rear and passed T.J. Winegardner for the runnerup spot.
T.J. Winegardner who set the fastest time of the evening with a lap of 11.530 around the 3/8 mile paved oval finished third after starting 11th. Doug Berryman finished fourth in the second feature and veteran O'Reilly USCS racer Aubrey Black from Lookout Mountain, Georgia rounded out the top five. T.J. Winegardner also won the Lucas Oil Power Dash. Doug Day won the 10 lap Last Chance Race.
