Shane Stephens leads USCS Modified standings into Malden Speedway Summer Shootout
Atlanta, GA - Going into the 1st Annual Summer Shootout event at Malden Speedway, Shane Stephens from Arlington, Tennessee leads the 2007 USCS Open Wheel Modified Series point standings with 680 points after six events. Stephens points were accumulated with finishes that include one feature race win at Malden Speedway on May 25th, a second place finish at Malden Speedway on April 20th a third place finish in the most recent event on June 2nd at Columbus Speedway.

Shane Stephens wins in USCS Open Wheel Modified action at Malden Speedway
May 25, 2007 Malden, MO - Shane Stephens from Arlington, Tennessee won the 25-lap USCS Open Wheel Modified feature at Malden Speedway on Friday night. 2006 Malden Speedway track champion, Ronnie Vernon from Friendship, Tennessee was the runner-up. Twenty year old Hunter Rasdon from Jonesboro, Arkansas finished third,followed by Jeremy Russell from the same hometown. Ashley Newman fromRipley, Tennessee rounded out the top five.

Fowler two for two in USCS Open Wheel Modified action at Malden Speedway
Malden, MO - Troy Fowler from Portageville, MO lead all 25 laps of the USCS Open Wheel Modified sanctioned feature race at Malden Speedway on Friday night to extend his points lead in the 2007 USCS Open Wheel Modified Championship title chase. Fowler a third generation oval track racer from Portageville, Missouri won the first of four USCS Open Wheel Modified 10 lap heat races. He then, started on the pole of the A-Main event via a zero inversion draw and just as he did in the March 24th Bootheel 200 feature race, lead all 25 laps of the main event. Fowler bested a top field of 34 entries from four states to grab his third feature win in a row at the 3/8 mile clay oval track.

USCS Open Wheel Modified Series results: Malden Speedway – March 24, 2007 Bootheel 200
Fowler grabs USCS Mod Bootheel 200 loot at Malden Speedway
Malden, MO – Third generation oval track racer, Troy Fowler from Portageville, MO lead all 30 laps of the USCS Open Wheel Modified sanctioned 1st Annual “Bootheel 200” Open Wheel Modified Championship race at Malden Speedway on Saturday night to become the points leader in the 2007 USCS Open Wheel Modified Championship title chase. Fowler set fast time on Friday night and also won the USCS Open Wheel Mod Power Dash on Saturday night as well collecting $1700 for his efforts. Robert Powers of Campbell, MO came up about a car length short in second place and Shane mMoody from Bernie, MO was third, Brandon poppenheimer from Memphis, Tennesse was fourth and Alan Rettig from Sikeston, MO rounded out the top five in the track’s season opener.
Fowler bested a top field of 37 entries from four states to grab the early season prize. The series returns to Malden Speedway on Friday, April 20th along with the O’Reilly USCS sprint cars for a double-header.
