Landon Britt began his 360 c.i. Winged Sprint Car 2023 season action over the weekend with a trip south to Hattiesburg (Miss.) Speedway with the United Speed Car Series (USCS) Outlaw Thunder Tour.
Landon's outing on Friday night came to an end before it ever got started. Contact from another competitor on the first lap of the heat race sent Britt flipping off the track several times. Thankfully he was uninjured, but the ensuing damage forced him to scratch from the balance of the program.
On Saturday evening with 29 entries in action, Landon advanced to a fifth-place finish in his heat race, which left him short of locking into the feature. With a fifth-to-third performance in his heat race, Britt earned the 17th-starting spot for the feature. He went on to finish 13th.
