MOSS GOES WIRE-TO-WIRE TO USCS MILTON, FL WIN

MOSS GOES WIRE-TO-WIRE TO USCS MILTON, FL WIN

MILTON, FL – September 19, 2025 -
Lance Moss of Cherryville, NC led all 25-laps to win the Main Event for the United Sprint Car Series Outlaw Thunder Tour Presented By Hoosier Racing Tire on Friday night at Southern Raceway. The victory was the fourth USCS win of the season for Moss and his ninth career series win.

USCS point leader Dale Howard of Byhalia, MS finished second and Jadan Bowling of Holden Beach, NC took the third spot. Coen McDaniel of Gaffney, SC was fourth, and Trey Meredith of Dade City, FL came home in the fifth spot.
Terry Witherspoon of Jacksonville, FL drove to a sixth-place finish and 16-time USCS National Champion National Sprint Car Hall of Fame Inductee Terry Gray of Bartlett, TN finished seventh, Dustin Burtron of Seminole, FL started 14th and finished eighth to earn the Wilwood Disc Brakes Hard Charger of the Race Award. Jake Brashier of Denham Springs, LA was ninth and Blake Carrier of Amite, LA rounded out the top ten.

In preliminary action, Moss won the six-lap Hoosier Racing Tire Speed Dash to earn the Pole Position for the 25-lap Feature Race. The two eight-lap Heat Races were won by McDaniel in the Engler Machine & Tool First Heat, and Howard in the Schoenfeld Headers Second Heat.

Moss took the lead at the start of the race from his pole position starting spot followed by Howard, Bowling, Brandon Blendon of Gulfport, MS and McDaniel. The only caution flag of the race was displayed on lap two when Parker Davis of Mobile, AL spun in turn two. Just before the field went back to green, Blendon gave up the fourth spot and retired to the pit area.

The restart saw Moss leading Howard, Bowling, Witherspoon, and McDaniel. Witherspoon faded late in the race, as McDaniel passed him for the fourth spot on lap 17. Meredith moved up into the top five on lap 18, as he passed Witherspoon for fifth. Howard was able to get close to Moss on a couple of occasions in lapped traffic, but Moss was able to keep the point to take the win.
The United Sprint Car Series Outlaw Thunder Tour Presented By Hoosier Racing Tire will return to Southern Raceway in Milton, FL on Saturday night highlighted by a 30-lap Feature Race.
