Inside Line Promotions – MARION, Ark. (March 24, 2015) – Derek Hagar is aiming for at least one victory when he invades Toccoa Speedway this weekend.

Hagar is driving for Jeff McCall during the USCS doubleheader on Friday and Saturday at the 5/16-mile track in Toccoa, Ga., during the 4th annual Toccoa Tangle.

“I haven’t won at that track and I haven’t won a race this year so this weekend would be a good time to scratch those off the list,” Hagar said. “I’ve heard the track changed ownership and they made a lot of changes to it since the last time I was there. They said the track is a lot racier. Hopefully we go there and take advantage of the new surface.”

Hagar hasn’t competed at Toccoa Speedway since 2013, when he earned a podium and two top 10s in as many races. He also scored a top 10 during his only race at the unique, D-shaped track in 2012.

“There will be some good competition there this weekend,” he said. “Plus, we’ll be in a brand new car that hasn’t hit the track yet. Hopefully everything goes smoothly for us.”

Rain has washed out races the past three weekends for Hagar, who won a USCS-best seven features last season despite a limited schedule with the series.

“These last three weeks sitting at the house not being able to race has been real hectic on us, but it looks like this weekend we’ll finally get to go do something,” he said. “It’d be great to get back in the Winner’s Circle as well.”
