White Passes 15 Cars During Doubleheader Debut at Southern Raceway

Inside Line Promotions – MILTON, Fla. (Feb. 27, 2018) – Harli White passed a lot of sprint cars last weekend during her first visit to Southern Raceway.

White passed six cars on Friday to score her first top 10 of the season and she passed nine more on Saturday to narrowly miss capturing another top 10.

“The pill draw really hurt us all weekend,” she said. “There wasn’t much passing going on in the heat races. On a positive note we tried some things with the car and got some good setups if we come across a track like that in the future.”

The weekend began on Friday with White finishing where she started – sixth – in a heat race on the narrow track. That lined her up on the outside of the eighth row for the A Main.

“It was pretty much one lane the way the track was,” she said. “I was able to stay out of trouble and we gained a few positions.”

A 10th-place result gave White her first top 10 of the season. White’s six positions gained was tied for the third-most cars passed. It also created momentum entering Saturday’s finale. Unfortunately, a seventh-place finish in a heat race lined her up 21st in the main event.

“We had more opportunity to race on Saturday,” she said. “They reshaped the track from Friday to Saturday night. It made it a little bit better. I passed a lot of cars both nights, but I feel like I should have been closer to the front.”

Once again, White was effective in the A Main as she maneuvered to a 12th-place result. She passed the second-most cars in the 30-lap race.

The team is slated to return to USCS Series action this Friday at Hattiesburg Speedway in Hattiesburg, Miss., and Saturday at Magnolia Motor Speedway in Columbus, Miss.
