Atlanta, GA - September, 10, 2020 - Attention...Due to the fact that there is a 50% chance of rain at race time at Lavonia Speedway on Friday night and a higher chance of rain on Saturday when the USCS Outlaw Thunder Tour winged sprint cars are supposed to be at Cherokee Speedway...the USCS Fast Friday Salute to Freedom event scheduled for Friday, September 11th at Lavonia Speedway has been postponed until Friday, September 25th.
Over half of the USCS Sprint Car teams would travel from 5 to 8 hours to get to this event.
For that reason, the series and track management at both tracks have also agreed to keep this event scheduled as a USCS sprint car double-header. That means the USCS Outlaw Thunder Tour winged sprint cars will also be at Cherokee Speedway in Gaffney, South Carolina on the following night, Saturday, September 26th.
We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause anyone, but, we are trying to look out for all concerned and we hope for better weather in two weeks.
